NeoDoc SafeKey — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

NeoDoc SafeKey (“the extension”) is a browser companion to the NeoDoc dictation app. It receives a clinician’s dictated clinical note from their paired iPhone over Bluetooth and inserts it into the text field of their web-based EMR. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles.

How your data is handled

Optional diagnostic logs (only when you choose)

The extension keeps a local activity log (connection events, insertion success/failure, character counts). Only if you click “Send logs to NeoDoc” are these technical logs sent to the developer to diagnose problems. Before sending, EMR tab titles are removed (they can contain patient names) and no patient note text is ever included — only timestamps, event types, counts, your extension version, and browser/OS. This is never sent automatically.

What we do NOT do

Permissions

The extension requests broad site access so it can insert your dictated note into whatever web-based EMR you use. This access is used only to insert text into the field you are working in — never to read or collect other page data.
